when does pr put their videos up?
West Australian Racing
i no longer tape any perth races to check, but i still do automatic data input.
my computer tells me that race 1 time is either a lie or the distance is incorrect.
a time of 67.53 seems fanciful to me, not that i care much, but intrigue has me in its grip.
but it needs a video to check!
come on pr

67.53 for 1100 is the sort of time I could run!!
crikey there was a 1200m race run in 70.26 which is lest than 3 seconds for that 100m diff

Magnifisio was the only other horse on the day to break 34
so it's the same old story in that backwater called perth.
it's certainly a long way and considering how close the race was, entirely likely to have had a different result.
they are both '1100' races with the rail out 6m.

Obviously flawed.
in perth they have no procedures or policies or checks or these things would NOT happen.
it's the reason i walked.
anyway i have figured that the wrong distance has meant about 2 and a bit seconds slower time than it would have been if gates in right spot
coruscation WINS that race if distance was correct, well, we will never really know, but it was only caught on the line

"When the rail is out from the true position the barrier stalls are
moved forward to allow for the greater distance covered around the
turns. All starts have been surveyed and adjustments are exact so the
race distance does not change regardless of where the rail is. The one exception* is the 1400m start when the rail is out 14 metres, we run 1440 metre races as the stalls cannot be moved too far forward as it is a short run to the turn. Thanks
that's not the issue.
the issue is that they obviously don't have procedures in place to ensure all is correct,
i reckon i have been raving on about this for 10 years or more and still they are friggen useless.

But RWWA are the ones at fault because they are the ones that don't follow, or enact procedure.
They are in charge of the meeting, and it's them that are supposed to ensure all is correct, but of course when you have a stable full of halfwits.........
Obviously not our blokes [-X
Will they amend the distance on CRIS ?
john zucal told me after many complaints of mine, that they had the tracks all surveyed, and a checklist for the steward in charge of each meeting to follow, to ensure everything runs right.
of course he may not have been telling me the truth, although i suspect he was, but since he has gone it is as bad as it has ever been.
there are probably many more lately that i have not noticed, because they were within the parameters i have set.
this one though had my computer screaming at me, so i knew something was badly wrong as soon as i entered the data.

And Darren reckons people on "Social Media" shouldn't be criticising racing in WA.

if the race was really 1100m then the time from start to 600 was easily slowest of the day relative to race distance.
of course that is assuming it was 500m stretch it out to 532(my guess and a guess is all it can be), then it is much more respectable, but still slow.
