I don't rate the Belmont Newmarket to previous years running of the event.

Totally agree, was very suprised to read the article on PR.com proclaiming it a high class field

Based on McBuster's form since racing against each other, Star Laser would need to improve a fair bit.

But an extra week and the inside alley, certainly a good chance tomorrow.

Vain Raider for me at the moment.

I really like Danebeela here, they were probably always going to be a bit slick over the 1000 in the Beaufine but from the 2 here should possie up nice and close and be strong at the end where a couple may be getting a little weiry like VR and DM. I rate Escadaire a danger as well would have liked some of that $15 on offer earlier.

    R1 - Won't bother :!:
R2 - Quinella - Bad Funk Stripe & Black Nijinsky - hopefully in that order
R3 - Hide The Loot - best bet
R4 - whatever looks best in the mounting yard
    R5 - Dante's Dash e/w
    R6 - Exquisite Time e/w
R7 - another mounting yard selection - nice trifecta/quartet race
    R8 - Last Curtain e/w & quinella with Kasabian

    Good luck :!:

I just had a read Josh Rodder's Preview. He certainly went out on a limb with his best bets
    Race 1 – (1) Kid Choisir
    Race 8 – (12) Kasabian
    Odds on look on :!:

Statewide has drawn barrier 1 in a field of only 6, on Wednesday over 1700M, so propably expect them to scratch tommorrow and dodge these couple of good runners.

I see it has been scratched. 3 scr now a field of 5.

our three year old who was 4th emergency and drawn 27 at Northam should have gone to this race for his maiden and assured himself of $1000.

Would have then guaranteed itself five runs at maiden level with stakes won.

Remember discussing this a few years back about a horse that couldn't get a run in the provincials, came to town and ran 4th of 4 and collected $2,000 - went onto become a good Saturday class horse, thinking a Danetime mare, with Comic Hero's silk colours.

The danger now though is the double nomination rules.

    Correctamundo Diva!

Actually it was only $1,800 - just checked and noticed DV was scratched from that race!

BTO went onto win it's maiden 3 starts later.

BTO went on to win three on the trot against the likes of Loml, Pure Black and the winner of the four horse race, Ticking Time.

No wonder it stayed in the field that day, seven of the runners nominated for that race of 11, were nominated for another 3yo race on the same day and most went to that race.

That horse screwed me out of 3 quaddies, in consecutive weeks :(

Will be hard to beat, but hard to call something a good thing from Barrier 14, it may have to do some work early. IMO will be unders, would be a betting proposition at around the $3 mark, but likely to start a lot shorter than that.

Did win it's maiden (by 4.5 lengths) at Northam from barrier 15 of 16, so knows how to do the hard yards early.

Think the horse is going through the grades well and this is a minor stepping stone!

I may be going a bit potty, but i have talked myself into having a go at
Brave Knight in the the 3rd. Was tried as a stayer last prep ,without success.
Last 1st up run ,was 2.7 behind Dante's Volonte

was talking to someone about the prices in the West yesterday - we both agreed BRAVE KNIGHT would be a good spec at $51 quoted - has a solid record at the trip and may lead or get a sit on either EAGLE ROCK or REVY JAY. I think its probably a solid $10-$12 shot.

At this stage, guessing the pattern won't detrimental to his chances, I don't mind the look of Gondorff to finally break through today.
