nss is correct, he has had enormous support, probably more than the average troubled person gets.
he discharged himself from charlies mental health facility...one wonders into whos custoday??
we only read all about this because its Ben...all this is commonplace with meth addicts, happens everyday to some deranged poor bastard..who have families too.
I don't know the solution, prison certainly is an option, imo, but they..Ben and his fellow addicts have had a lot of opportunities for help but they spurn them all.
this foul meth is a universal scourge, its cheap, its plentiful and there seems to be no way to combat it.
Ben thinks himself invincible as he has been molly-coddled and has got away with blue murder as far as his habit goes.
all thanks to "you know who".... X(
But you're addicted to commenting on Ben
And WC
Yes you can, Gary. Plenty have.
It's hard, but you can.

jeez he covers a bit of territory...
The players involved have a thing called personal responsibility as well but the club also had a duty of care and as a longtime member their attitude sickened me and still does.

Sadly he will be caught time and time again, until he can't run away from it anymore.
I feel terribly for the family this evening. This is a living hell.

What decision does anyone think the club could have made that would have made a difference to the current situation Ben is in?

How about doing something about it when they were caught on Police wire tapes ordering drugs during that period and how about not allegedly sending certain club officials, who have a habit of popping up in the coaches box on game day when certain individuals at the club aren't happy with the coach, to allegedly accompany them not to keep them out of trouble but to allegedly ensure their antics and any allegedly subsequent trouble they may allegedly cause doesn't gain media or public scrutiny when they're out and about.
Not doing all that Fast, would have been a bloody good start!!!

Embley changed his ways and so did quite a few others, as very early in his career he was going down the wrong path not necessarily to the same extent or necessarily involving drugs but he changed because he clearly wanted to and or realised he needed to.
You have to want to change for the better and sadly I don't think Ben and others ever really wanted to and they certainly weren't aided by the club's ridiculous inaction over the years.

Unortunately, to all Cousins was God and everyone was too scared to do anything

Those who bag the club never mention Worsfold.
You couldn`t get a more respected AFL person, what do the club baggers think of Worsfold`s role?
