Another thing that pisses me off is theyll be going in the gates at say belmont and tony brasell and co will be giving their tips for a race 5 mins away at rosehill etc Been happening for years - Ascot/Belmont is usually run and won, before the barr…

Just remember Regal Power paid $12 the place on this day last year. Tip: never let a cerise and white go around at $70 (in an 8 horse race) However the fillies have a big advantage again this year!

By my count - both WA teams play 3 Saturday nights at Optus (including 1 x derby), which work in with Belmont season. Sweet! West Coast have a 4th Saturday night game, but it is in April (whilst still at Ascot)

All these blokes spruiking puntingform in media/twitter wherever clearly aren’t paying the massive subscription prices, so hard to determine whether it’s really worth it Too true, one person pays and then they all share it. That IVR info from Vince…

'Sectional Stars' on Racing.com - uses the benchmark figures from Vince Accardi. You will find it usesBarrier to 800m800m to 400m400m to finish It is meant to balance out all conditions and tracks so you can do the form on a race, with form from mul…

I can have good weeks and bad weeks - I don't do hours of form, I tend to follow my blackbookers and keep following til they let me down (more than once) Past weekend, couldn't get close both over east or locally, only winner was The Velvet King, th…

Paul Harvey - Race 6 on Saturday - not talking through my kick, but I'd be livid if I had backed it for a place!

Just got around to watching the episode. 1 - Those abattoir staff should face criminal prosecution for animal cruelty. No excuse for treating any animal in your care the way they did.2 - Racing NSW and the like can no longer say they are doing some…

Agree @saxonsaxoff Happy for it to be a public vote, but having a cut off, either on form or prizemoney etc. would have been smart. Remember RVL have 4 wild cards they can put in after voting ends.

The Tony Brassel (parody) page on Facebook is hilarious https://www.facebook.com/tonybrasselparodypage/

Same e/s misguided arrogance / disrespect for WA Racing as the Railway / KT runners. Agree, but they did get the sprint one!

If Darren calls it "The Ted" during the run I think I'll throw up You could also go for Turd Van Steamst but that's not very nice. Heard him say that on the Big Breakfast the other morning, nearly spit out my coffee! Surely the name will return to…

I'd rather go to the Queens, not pay an entry fee,pay $14 for 2 or 3 pints of ginger beer, bet on my phone and got home $40 to $50 poorer, depending on my betting skills...... than go to Ascot and fork out over $100 for a lot less enjoyable experien…

That's a shame. Really enjoyed my arvo at the races prior to the Eagles Pies final in Sept. Was a good crowd at Belmont too that day.
-
I paid $14 for a pint of Ginger Beer (mid strength alcohol) at the Queens a few weeks back! The post boom message has reached some places, but not others!

If you win and don't mind backing the occasional even money pop? No 1 Autumn Sun looks a special in r4 there too. Absolutely Slaughtered. I doubt we will see a bigger butchered ride than that this spring. :-& :-& :-O :-O ~X( ~X(…

Just having a glance through the nominations as above Hartnell - would be a great attractionRanier - surely a big chance, if he came for the GuineasAidan - would be a coup, but be surprised if he came

Its interesting to go back through this thread, a lot of passionate people lost to this site and I would think lost in at least some part to racing. While those of us that still from time to time venture out to the track are still doing so in the …

Just another government selling off OUR infrastructure for quick political gains! The POC will kill this sale. If Beteasy ain't going ahead, who will? TABcorp? They hate our state! The returns on virtual racing are very small (from what I heard m…

Amazing property - could have a good future as a potential quarantine centre for international horses It only has a dirt track at the moment, but that could be changed (ala Werribee style) only an hour from the city!

With grammar like that =)) 1. What the f*#k is the deal with 50 women? Who gives a s*#t?2. Watch from the comfort of your home, without partaking. Presume your name ain't in the racebook, so no free entry to see your horse race!3. Can't wait to r…

Good riddance to garbage!

Love this race - timing is fine for a last stop for the country Cups horses (with good money on offer), maybe a 2800m lead up would be good. Can we have a 2800m race at Ascot? Looks like you would need to start at what is the 800m mark, but still s…

Most likely the work of some of these 'lovely' animal activists - worth killing people and animals to get their point across! Agree with @hash - throw the book at the mongrels!

Do you think Bruce may have had something on her? I’d love to know how many people actually back her and how many can just sit back without punting and admire her I had a $1 ticket on her - collected and kept the ticket as a keepsake (screw giving …

Went there yesterday and left feeling quite underwhelmed! Trains packed like sardines (and long waits between trains) Only one beer on most bars (not the four they promoted)None of the Mrs Macs 'special stadium' pies to be seen anywhereRan out of ho…

Yes, if 110,000 could turn up and be happy yesterday with nothing to watch but grass grow, pretty sure any international cricket game will keep 55,000 entertained. Yep, will be there!

I didn’t know that those working under a trainer weren’t allowed to lay a horse from the stable to lose.... Surely anyone related to a stable laying a horse would be cause for concern. Hopefully this clears the cobwebs out of Victorian racing, any…
