Couldn’t agree more with him, can let Footy players and cricketers in but not people with dying mothers or grand children (unless you get on morning tv which case they’ll make an exception).

Following the science is the biggest load of bullsh*t that’s been accepted by the media and public without question.  Firstly the modelling has been incorrect from the start of the pandemic until now, why is it never questioned?  Secondly he actually doesn’t follow the science anyway, we know Labour are polling the response to pandemic measures and all decisions are based on this

The footballers had to quarantine, Moody can come but he would have to quarantine for 14 days just like they had to ......and coming from the viral soup that Victoria is at the moment, I think that is fair enough. So although I think his intemperate comments are way out of order, in fact quite disgraceful from someone who is a very public face of racing, thems the rules, play by them or stay home.

Great post precision. McGowan is a goose. Based his bull dust on false figures. Does nothing for months to encourage people to get vaccinated in WA, so that they can open the borders to allow people who want to visit family can come home, but the hypocrite allows in footballers cricketers and anyone else on the basis that “ we need to entertain people”. Not only that, we all, if we want to come have to quarantine for 14 days. That’s fine with me, but why do the English test team only have to quarantine for five days. It’s hypocritical bull dust.

As far as the need for “ entertainment “, what a load of self serving cr@p. He’s been telling us that Western Australians are doing it easy. “No covid here”he says. “We can live our lives to the full.” And that’s great. But if that’s the case, you don’t,  need any entertainment over there, we fkn need it here in Victoria and NSW where we have been locked down.

He’s worried that the hospitals won’t cope. That’s because he’s done zero for years to look after your medical systems.

Here’s a stat that puts a lie to the hospitals being overrun. In Victoria we have been averaging 1200 cases a day, yet our hospital admissions have continued to fall. We have 465 in hospital with 95 in ICU. Around 95% of those in ICU, decided in their finite wisdom not to get vaccinated. About 88% of the others also have either only had one shot, or no shots. And yes, there have been a few who have ended up in hospital even  though they have been double vaccinated because of underlying medical conditions from which they suffer.

Prior to us getting to 80% double vaccinated, we had around 900 in hospital, but as those numbers hit 86%, people who are vaccinated are still getting the virus, the vaccine does not prevent that, but unless they suffer from major medical conditions, they get to quarantine at home like my niece who was double vaccinated, got the virus, felt mildly sick for two days, and sat home for the duration of the14 day quarantine,  feeling great after the initial two days of mild illness.

If McGowan had got everyone double vaccinated, you are at 82% first vaccinated BUT only 68% double vaccinated, then families would be able to reconnect for Xmas. But he doesn’t give a cr@P about families. Yes, you will catch up eventually, but the damage done to families thus far, is incalculable.

One more thing. I saw a bloke on Sky News who runs a tourist business in Margaret River. They are stuffed and he has had to get his parents to put their 50 grand life savings into the business to keep him going.

We were coming over next Friday for the carnival and staying for four weeks. I reckon all up we would spend 20-25,000 on flights accomodation, car hire, food entertainment, and the government would earn money through the tax they would get on my punting. How many thousands of others would have done the same.

I read of one estimate that the WA economy, that is the shops , the tourist operators,  other businesses, have lost over 2 billion in revenue.

Yes, a lot of you have been fortunate to lead a relatively safe life and have, other than on a few occasions , not been affected by covid or lockdown.  But I guarantee you that there are a lot of you out there who are doing it tough, be it in business and by being unable to reconnect with families.

You can’t say anything, because when you live under a dictatorship as I do here in Victoria, and you do, and in your case you don’t even have an opposition in parliament, you shut up and cop it sweet until you can’t anymore and you would have seen the result of that frustration over here in Melbourne.

Hopefully the perth public and those most affected by the closed borders, will let your dictator know that enough is enough, that they are sick of his hypocrisy of one rule for the ordinary bloke, and not for the privileged, and test once you hit 80% double bay, he should open your borders.

All he has to do is  say that if we want to come to perth, we have a covid test three days before we come and return a negative result, show upon landing that we are double vaccinated, and have another covid test three days after arrival.

Joe fkn difficult is that? Of course, such a decision takes commonsense, and if there is one thing that we all understand about politicians and common sense is that commonsense for them is not ver common.

That’s not true as anyone coming from Vic needs a G2G pass and all racing applications were denied.  Moody would never have come but his staff as well as Godolphin etc got denied

There’s a misconception that anyone can come if they are happy to quarantine, that’s completely false.  They are denying WA residents with dying family even if they agree to quarantine.  Yet minor celebrities, people who know a minister are getting in.  The double standards bordering on corruption is mind boggling and they are getting away with it

McGoon is having a lovefest with Twiggy and China and doesn't give a toss about WA. For years he has done nothing to improve our deteriorating health system even Covid didn't stimulate a response from him on that front and how is health minister Roger Cook still in a job? He should have been sacked 5 years ago and if he worked in the real world he would have been.

McClown is focused on winning seats for the federal mob. His decisions are political and have nothing to do with the people of WA and the so called health advice has about as much connection to modelling as Miss Piggy does.

I think WA will survive without the yelpers. There are things called elections that allowed them to have a say in their own jurisdictions. Oddly enough when they are demonstrably in a crushingly democratic minority we have the emergence of the dictatorship - corruption waffle plus the usual nutter brigade with the conspiracy theories.
We already need a new airport here to accommodate the whining noise from some interstate travellers when they get here.

Instead of Moody and everyone bagging McGowan, how’s about bagging the laggers who have not got their COVID vaccine, I’m sure Moody is vaccinated and along with 90% of Vic, WA is to complacent because we haven’t faced an outbreak here, WHY because of McGowan, WA wants to play on their rights for freedom yet the rest of Australia has accepted the need for this vaccine

    Totally irrelevant post.

I live in Victoria too, and put up with all the same cr@p you did. So what.

    We now have the vaccines.

If people don't want to get vaccinated that's up to them, and they will have to cop all the rules which will prevent them from being as active in society as they would want to be.

However, for all those who ARE vaccinated, all the cr@p we have put up with over the past two years, should never be inflicted upon us again.

If you want to go to WA or SA or Queensland, all that those who are vaccinated should have to do, is get a test three days  before you go, if negative, travel.

Upon arrival, show your Medicare proof of  double vaccination. Then, after three days, have another test.

The so called National Cabinet agreed to open up the borders when Australia reached 80% double vaccinations. We are there, and the Premiers of three States have reneged on the agreement.

The only "self entitled, privileged whinging fugwits", are the recalcitrant premiers, and those who support their actions in  continuing to  destroy peoples lives.

Mcgowan has achieved one thing and that is, he has prolonged the lives for the last 2 years of people in WA, who have under lying issues who would of been susceptible to covid whether vaccinated or not.
By the way Moody has done ziltch for WA

But they do have one thing in common.
Both politicians and horse trainers can tell a few pork pies,

    Heres some that Moody would of used if Mcgowan was in his stable;

    Self entitled rubbish

WA hasnt been affected by lockdowns so the take up rate for the vaccine has been slow as opposed to some others who would do anything to get out of sustained lockdowns. Bit of common sense would help. WA's take up rate is no different from other states with similar covid cases or similar lockdowns.

Trumpism is alive in Australia, unfortunately
