When asked for a tip yesterday, Peter Fernie declared he would win the 1st race. I think he was being modest. He should have declared he would train the quartet.

    54 runners two stables are producing 24 runners  fernie 14 Mathews 10.... the last four races look
    pretty even contests....

    Wonder if he knew if By Decree was out when that was done. Was never going was it ?
