this is a racing forum... not a place for debating religion and politics. I could see that getting ugly.
lets stick to the fun stuff.

It's very important that every Newspaper, Radio Station, TV Station, Magazine, Blogs, and Forums talk about these murders.

they are too PC to do so wizard.
did you notice that during the lindt café murders the words "terrorist" and "muslim" were not used by one politician.

I believe the French are a peaceful people that are much like a sleeping giant. It is unwise to wake them via violence.

I find it ironical that a attack somewhere else in the world gets posted on here yet we had a attack in Sydney and not a peep from anybody , all I will say is if I had been in that café that nutjob would be in jail.

These murders were about freedom of speech not just about some fanatic that should have been in jail trying to get on the TV.

Reckon it might be a good idea to wait for the Coroners report before making any calls on who actually shot who in Sydney :-??

Hi Spudley, I'm not really certain of the point you are trying to make but out of deference to those that died and the others that had to endure an experience that I think could only truly be understood by those who have been in similar situations. Why don't you leave the front bar bravado about what you would of done and had you been there to another topic.
  • thefalconthefalcon    20,495 posts
I think we may get an abridged version of the coroners report, legless..... :-?
  • SPUDLEYSPUDLEY    1,584 posts
My point was nobody started a post about the Sydney out of respect for the 2 victims yet the Paris attack doesn't get the same respect.
As far as front bar bravado goes I still would like 1 question asked why didn't the 17 hostages gang up on him, 17/1 are very good odds and everything was left to 1 man to have a crack at him surely the others could have helped .

Spudley, are you serious? Who would you like to ask and what would you like to ask them?
You are a punter. What were the odds if they decided to try and overpower him? Do you really think the death toll would have been less? Would you have considered the lives of the women and children inside the cafe when you mention this folly. Please mate, give it a spell, your ignorance of the complexities and dangers that abound in such a situation amaze. People lost their lives and others have lived though an experience worse than most of us could imagine, yet you want to question their bravery.

  • SPUDLEYSPUDLEY    1,584 posts
Twiggy how do you think the human race has moved from caves and spears to houses and cars , curiosity is in all of us everything that happens today is questioned and imagination makes us all think what ifs and why that's.
You may think I am ignorant of what happened in the cafe maybe so but put yourself in a similar situation what would you do just sit and do as your told or would you have a crack hopefully that scenario will never happen but the question remains what would you do.

Stopped watching long ago Spud, when they had that Whalid Ali making excuses for Boko Haram an Islamist terrorist group in Nigeria, who had kidnapped 200 girls.

Refused to use the words, Islam, terrorist or even radical Islam.

But, I suppose I should have expected nothing less from a politically correct, lefty program.
