Jockey Grant Lemos will face a stewards' inquiry next Monday into his urine sample provided to stewards at last Saturday week's Broome Cup meeting and his subsequent conduct towards stewards and officials.

Lemos admitted yesterday the eye medication bottle did contain his own urine. He claimed it was not to conceal any personal drugs or alcohol abuse, but done because of a spate of pilfering in the jockeys' room over meetings at Carnarvon and Port Hedland meetings during winter.

He claimed he had riding gear, and drinks stolen out of the room and his eye-dropper had been used without his permission. He had urinated into the drink bottle and eye dropper to teach the culprit a lesson because he was tired of having his possessions stolen or misused.

He claims the culprit had drunk a bottle of the urine-contaminated drink at a previous meeting.

Have had Lemon Tea but who had the Lemos Pee? :P :shock: :roll:
