Got one that's two weeks over due.............. :?
One that's bang on 11 months today.
One for mid next week, then one a week for 3 weeks by my records

Then a gap of nearly 3 weeks, and one a week again for three weeks.

Got two more down last night. Both fillies :(
One was 10 days overdue, one was 5.
One still to come that's now 16 days over.

So that one plus one due over the weekend, then got a gap to mid October before next one due.

I'd pay the cash too, I left my last years foal 7 months before trying to halter break her...Impossible... Put her on the truck to a stud to get done.

I have one pushing 20 days overdue now, she is a maiden so bit hard to say when she will drop.

Hell, maybe ill start charging to halter break. bloody easy $250 ever made if so.

That Cape North is not mine, but he is stunning.

My Little man was leading without a bum rope after 2 days now I can trot him up next to me and he also canters. brilliant and not even 2 months yet.

Talking about overdue mares this season, heard of one that went 12 months & 3 weeks from service date and delivered a rather large colt but no problems. I have 3 on alarm and all 3 are over by 10 days or more.My theory is the cold/wet winter we have just experienced but watch the foaling rate increase now that spring has finally arrived.

    Finally dropped 21 days overdue
    Colt Vapolicella x Saxon
Will get some photos up soon

I was talking to a friend of mine in the 'show horse' equestrian side and she was lamenting how many people with foals didn't/couldn't handle them early enough.Same goes with a lot of us.I reckon if anyone was a genuine foal/ young horse handler and advertised you would have to get a heap of work especially from smaller breeders.

Yes its a problem CC, we had 4 from a particular owner/breeder sent for breaking in. She whinged because we had to spend the first week or two just teaching them to lead, and just generally be handled on a daily basis.
They had just never been touched since they were born, other than being caught and loaded on a truck.
Then she whinged when the breaking process took longer at $55 per day.
