Looking at the GP results tonight- Peter Schrader won a race - so i just watched a replay of that race because of that fact

I dont follow the midweek GP meetings that closely so i dont know if that is his 1st win since he resumed driving - but if it is then well done to him

And that winning drive - it was a pretty slick effort - hooked it out early approaching the back straight and made ground rapidly - and his balance and action in the cart in the home straight , still pretty impressive

Well strip 35-40 years off him and you will know how good he was when he was young

Richie Bell tipped 7 of the 9 winners last night with some at very backable prices.

Not saying you should follow him religiously as many if his tips come out of left field and he is very unlikely to maintain this winning record.

Don't know how, he stated that Tri Royale Brigade benefited from "dropping down tonight" into the "Four Thousand race".....actually the $5 LT $4,000 race if one wants to be pedantic.... a class the horse had been racing in for its last 12 starts. Bonus was he got the horses name correct.

Just out of interest - whats happened to Rocket - doesnt seem to have many runners at all  in the past 2-3 months , compared to what he previously had

Maybe Aaron  Bain has pulled the pin on WA - just too expensive - alah you need reasonable quality horses to win races in WA

Where as over East hes good stacks of very cheap/ordinary horses - Steenhuis in Vic they are shocking low class horses , ditto most of them that he has got in Tassie . Does allright at Tamworth with Ison and Elder , but they are cheap low class horses which struggle when they even go to Newcastle

Wow 28 in work , that would keep you busy

Just out of interest and without giving any trade secrets away - and i know all horses are different - but say a pacer who is getting a regular race track appearance every 7-10 days - so on a weekly basis - day to day what would you do with that horse , how many times would you hopple them  up and fast work them , and do you walk them exercise them in the water  etc

I can remember many years ago like around 40 years ago - both Trevor Warwick and Greg Harper would put adds in the West Australian for stablehands - and it would stipulate - must be able to ride - they would gallop their pacers to get them super fit

So without giving away your specialised methods , id be interested to know what you would do with a horse for the whole week when it is racing on a day to day basis

The ones that race Friday weekly have Sat/Sun off jog at home Mon-Thurs then race again Friday, very basic once they’re fit and racing out here
