NARROGIN.....Yes Narrogin

West Australian Racing
I have attended the trrack on numerous occasions. I like the intimacy of the small track...Usually hate the drive home due to the dangerous setting sun.

Quick look at the Narrogin Sunday Session.

Firstly I can't believe Pike has to go to Narrogin to earn a crust...Obviously for Burning Pride..Pike you are worth a fortune...How about you go to church on Sunday and throw a few dollars in the collection tray.

R2 Drawn wide but hoping Superlove has a lot of heart:x :
R3 Twisted Mountain is a best bet
R4 Trade Prize from Luc's Star..Quinella
R5 Foo Trouble eachway all day
R6 Glen Albyn appreciates Narrogin but Tortina is a big danger however my maddie for the day and it is my main selection in the race at huge odds is Hollywood Rock. Has won at Narrogin and previous track run was given no hope. Do not ignore
R7 Though the three favourites should fight it out I select Stafford's Lad to give trainer a rare winner
R8 Many of these have more convictions than Ted Bundy. Topically Plead The Fifth could get away with this.

Am off the planet with this one, will be over 10/1 and might be light years away but he's got a bit of toe and might be whacking away at the business end in the 930 metre sizzle, race 3 - #1. Orbit The Sun.

Final three races over 1700, 1900 and 1900 - good to see.

After saluting down Albany at around 50/1 then a trip to Perth to win at about 100/1 ( on betfair ) today Scoreline ventures to Narrogin to run in the Cup and at this stage close to 20/1 available...a pass for me, but if you've been backing..why not!

The Cup looks a deadset favourite's race with Pikey aboard the in form Burning Pride, and the two big dangers look to be the two top weighted runners ( don't forget Bomber - top weights in this type of race "absolutely thrown in these days") Superior Smile and fresh into the race Here Comes Lenni.

Interesting runner Here Comes Lenni returning from a decent break, have noticed lately more horse's returning from spells over longer journeys - overseas it's a regular occurrence and now being more accepted in Australia.

Several runners in the UK first up over 2 miles and more or having there first start in a race! Fit as fiddle some too, amazing stuff. Born to stay.

If the winner comes from outside of Burning Pride, Here Comes Lenni or Superior Smile yep - will walk to China. Just gotta keep an eye out for that Scoreline!

The cup is a tricky race favourite is flying should go well.

Gradually firming up Scoreline and now $13 - can't win for me, but don't know if would be betting double figures just the same.

If wins again at over 10/1..seen everything.

Sure not going to be easy for her-----but in favour all the early speed has drawin the four widest barriers so the bottleneck and pressure, may work for her.&. not be left in the cheap seats for too long.

It looks like the run may be ending, so we'll just go for a quaddie and see what happens.

    1.2.4 / 1.4.6.8.9.13 / 2.4.5.6.9 / 3.4.6.7.8.10.13 - $30 for 4.76%

It's wide, just looking for a roughie or 2 and a big divvy :-j

Razor -- too sharp- hope you layed it for plenty.        -There was  a chance that was going to happen.--- No damage here------,but not a good habit, for the kid, wonder if the apprentice masters are going around the gates to see if there is a note-able reason, and offer her advice.( Happened  4-5 times now). Maybe today horse went to sleep with the rigmarole removing the other horse from  the front of the gates after it was scratched ?

Over the years have talked to a lot old jockeys, & said it took them 300-500 rides to be comfortable  and know whats going on, regards tactics etc.in a race....Theres been hundreds of apprentices that   just give up without having a 100 race rides---Time,  plus going around, and around--- answers everything.---- high pressure job.

Hate to be a miserable prick but I hope Burning Pride gets beat

I had a massive allup Talladega into Burning Pride at 1.80 into 2.00 and chickened out at the last minute.

    You are a misery Falcon.
Most of my selections including the winner were around the placings. Where were your picks?

As usual for all your 16,389 posts Falcon your nominations of selections are an extremely poor percentage.. A rarity in fact.

For your information no soup kitchen for me as I had a nice result yesterday with my only Pinjarra bet Solid Azza and followed up with my UK best and only bet Watchable. No bets at Narrogin as I attended a wedding.

Not too bad their at all Slip, as far the one I mentioned - Orbit The Sun - make no mistake that's the worst tip ever put down on paper on any punting site - ever!

Was that far back needed a 303 shotgun just to sight it.

Recall that horse hanging on for second at Northam one day at about 66/1, thereby sinking some good novelty bet's, makes ya wonder sometimes!

Here Comes Lenni, Superior Smile and of course Burning Pride all very good, and outclassed them convincingly - they'd all be Pinjarra Cup/Bunbury Cup bound would imagine.

Here Comes Lenni was terrific first up, Superior Smile fought on doggedly, which shows how well Burning Pride is going, it won easily.

re dodgey's three runners... wide barriers are death at Narrogin... you really need to be in the first half of the field... unless you have pike on top!

Rosie is more than likely going to go back anyway..if they wanna use a claimer then the instructions should be to go forward, the claim helps offset the work expended early on and riding her upside down somewhat. Going back relies more on luck-and judgement of an inexperience hoop-than being on pace does and the weight appears to not affect a horse's ability to sprint, unless it's a long sustained one. Just my opinion...but she wins at least one of her previous two starts, perhaps both of them, before yesterday if a snr jock was on board at Gero and a claimer at Ascot.

I get it, hindsight is 20/20 etc etc, but she's 3/19 now, it's not like she doesn't need things in her favour. And i followed the avalanche of money on the winner yesterday so i'm not talking thru my pocket. I haven't lost a cent on her.

I am (talking through my kick) maybe if not the above as Kramer has stated she just might need 3200m or more
