Toodyay Races Sunday 29/09/19

West Australian Racing
I will slip across to the Avon Valley on Sunday and take a trip down memory lane. Always loved Toodyay races over the years.  I hope they don't block the view of the back straight with marquees as they have done in previous years.

She's back for the Toodyay Cup - not confident, but still going to back - Plead The Fifth.

Start at the top of the straight for the Cup down to the winning post and a lap to go, if they run along hopefully she can join in, or sweep around them as per the York run.

Last Toodyay Cup meeting went to, backed the two rank outsiders in the first race to win, wouldn't believe it they ran 2nd and 3rd, thought they'd run well, the fact there were only three runners in the race did help though. b-(

Eight of the ten runners in the Cup between $5 and $10, then the first horse over $10 is Purist. One Corp betting 7 runners between $5 and $7, will be a good betting race and the tote should see some value, if getting the winner.

A few shorties on the day...odds on fave's and Toodyay, a tricky track, uphill and downhill runs. Think would like to be laying a few at the skinny odds.

    He tipped zandarral

Saw zandarral put up on the screen as winner. Realised now it was wrong

Golden Arches in the cup. Senior rider back on after he pulled like a man watching pornhub, last start. Won well the start before that

I thought Rodent was play on words and referring to Makybe Diva haha.

Ryan Hill - outstanding ride, tricky races these, at York bided his time and swept upon them, then yesterday utilised barrier one, box seat run eased around at the right time and the mare came into the race just when she needed to.

Perfectly placed by the trainer too.

Just does enough and can find, at York thought would win by 4 lengths just before the corner, but that's about as wide as you can go at York, she needed to balance up and ground it out, then yesterday on speed kept kicking.

Think that's her limit, ( shall see ) but two in a row good effort.
