Just caught the replay of Dainty Tess, what a great acceleration in the last 200M. Be interesting to follow her career as a broodmare in a couple of years time and the choices connections make. They would be under great pressure to sell her outright to a major farm on the East Coast.

this is the worst opening day at ascot i have seen in 18 years.

Spot on Para. In recent months my interest in local racing is matched only by Malcolm Turncoat er Turnbull's loyalty to the Liberal Party .... Effin traitor. He should go down in history as the only Labor leader of the Liberal Party. Never rated him and never voted for him.

Suffice to say that says a lot for where I stand regarding local races and believe me I want to be more enthused.
is this a racing site or someplace else where dimwits spout irrelevant nonsense?
I'm one of the dimwits spouting nonsense.
Just look at my original analysis of Dainty Tess amongst other statements.
But at least I tipped Man Booker!
what you said about dainty tess, or man booker are racing related so belong on a racing forum.
i have no idea of your politics and don't give a fig what they are, just that they don't belong here.

Well, Jeraft ended up fave and I had him; only a small win on the day; if only Cappo had saluted!

Yes Jeraft was heavily backed. Bold Success still ran favourite on the tote - Pikey.

I don’t know. I’ve heard it doesn’t matter what Winterbottom winners do afterwards. Assigning too much praise to Dainty Tess’s win over Viddora in Adelaide would be rewriting history apparently

    You r right Carey.
I made a mistake in answering SG and revealing how much I hate politics! Case is closed.

It appears Dainty Tess likes 1000m and 1100m and not 1200m so much.
State Solicitor was a dreadful run. I had not forgiven him for his  poor run in last year's Winterbottom.
I am following Lockroy even more closely after that run on the speed;no peace outside the leader and keeping Caipirinha 3 wide.
Itsahym is now 8yo and looks great; a really good run.
Chocolateholic my be back to his best after that super run.

dainty tess just keeps on giving.
she is a great horse, but by gee she has had some massive help on her journey, via those silly swp condition races that are common in wa.

assuming both ratings(mb & dt) were right, then both of the swp race yesterday were won by horses that were the most favourably weighted.

That argument nothing to do with me Cosmo.

For what it’s worth I also thought the Adelaide win was outstanding

SP was 100/1 Ihtsahymn - in the small field of nine elevated the trifecta dividend of $20 to a first four divvy of just on $400.
Steven Parnham has the knack of bringing a home a roughie or two.

    Wasn't directed at you @choc

I still don't buy the official stable line that Viddora was right last prep-then she injured herself in her box on race eve prior to the Sangster and was scratched? Please-ain't no one buying that bs..she then flopped in The Goodwood..we all saw what she did first up in the Moir Stakes when right

So which horse do you have a piece of, Viddoro or Dainty Tess ? You just seem upset by my previous comment.

You do realise that it's just an observation that not many would agree with but I personally think what a horse does this time in is far more important than what it does next season providing an explanation about what happened last year. Same goes for the Group status of races, it's what turns up, not what they acheived retrospectively at the end of those participants careers.
