I see Dainty Tess has had 31 starts but only 1 first-up start which would have been her first race. You don't see too many horses have 31 starts without a spell although she's had a few freshen ups along the way.

I'll have a go but nothing too deep and meaningful here.

R1/ I liked the fact that Kenyluck has had a run and in a good race too; now good barrier draw in a lesser field.

R2/ My Greek Boy looked v unlucky last start; so with a faster run race, I'll be on him.
I guess I have to save on Corporate Larrikin after my last minute support a week ago.

R3/ Chesten Fleir has come up v short; good run last time but sectional not that good.
Shame about the barrier on Puck Shapeshifter (say that 3 times quickly) as I think he shows real promise.

R4/ I guess it dos not take much daring to pick Dainty Tess as the winner but she is such a great mare; I will dive into multis with her.
Fancy Fox is v underrated and that price is attractive at 50's.

R/5 Salubrious has the best old form but I have a better chance of catching a cold than the Luciano's. Minus Looks has drawn out. Denim Pak I believe is up in class but he has shown real promise last time in (I'm really warming to the rider); so 12's is a good price.

Race 6/ I really like Three Secrets here; never shirked his task last run and looked like he was looking for longer.

Race 7/ I won't be talked out of He's a Parker. Gee he was going well around the corner last time; so I am hoping they wont catch him this time.

Race 8/ This is a raffle.
If only Run Liam Run would jump away with them and have a sit behind hot speed (I can dream, can't I?). I must put in Bon Voyage; v lightly raced, by Testa Rossa; sectional from a hopeless position last time was good.
But then again we have been tipping (and backing) Grey Enigma and Jupiter Rising; the prices on these 2 are big.

I will be couplng some of these up with Happy Clapper tomorrow (super run behind Wynx last time).

All the Best (Hope springs eternal).

I thought Sentimental Friend's run was pretty good last start and has drawn a better gate tomorrow.

    Stewards Comment 21st Feb

HOODLUM THUNDER A post-race Veterinary examination of the unplaced gelding revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised that the gelding will now be sent for a spell.

Were the stewards advised of the change of direction?

It raced a month later and now nearly two weeks later it runs 525 metres further on Saturday.

The horse was flat but now appears to have an abundance of energy and more stamina. Interesting to see how it runs at long odds.

That little girl Tess has now been in top three 27 times from 32 starts.

The only time further back than 5th was in the Group One Winterbottom when ran seventh beaten just 3 lengths. It's the only time from 32 starts that she's never come back to the enclosure to greet the judge and weigh in.

A bit sooner than 1 minute before the jump would’ve been ideal

Just had a chance to watch Chesten Flyer - surely that is not a senior jockey effort.

You wouldn't credit that in a million years @piker.

Race 1. They were numbers 5 and 6 and also drew next to each other in barriers 8 and 9, they ran 6th and 7th.

    # 5. Wiener Waltz
    # 6. Vena Schnitzel

    Now seen everything :-B

All I can say is thank goodness for Jerry.

Donga done by the barrier I suppose and looking for runs were there ain't any. If it goes to the Derby, please put another jockey on.

My Demi looks to have matured into a reasonable sprinter under David Harrison. The dam, Demimonde (Stratum) was unlucky in that she only ever won the one race, as she was better than that and had she been a half a hand bigger she might have been a multiple Saturday filly. She paid for herself on the track and looks to be doing a similarly good job at stud.

What's Jason browns comments on twitter about? Don't really see what's wrong with Falcons comment? Brown has been in good form of late and think he's taken it the wrong way
  • JellJell    1,202 posts
Certainly has. To me Falc meant Jason Brown being in the saddle was the plus.
