not a bad meeting, a few chances in every race..the sprint is a raffle.

only one decent bet for the falcon today...Senso.  why?  should be cherry ripe, the 2000m is ideal.

MMM has issues and is off a 21 day break, as is Northridge, DM is khaput, big danger is PTP.

War God in the last maybe worth a few roubles.

I'll make the sprint easy for you all again. Rock Magic!! easy as that  :)

    Easy game!!!

Recoup your losses by backing SOJ next start. Whoever he is racing against.

When you say pathetic, are you talking about sitting 3 wide and not going forward to lead?

there is NO price feed out of WA today bookie.

no one is in the bookies ring submitting the prices Australia wide.
Yes, darren could get them from dynamicodds... but im sure he has a screen in his box that has no prices on it today.
Thanks for that Tony and Diva.

Your comment Diva re RWWA not giving a rats, is well put.
It reminds me of the powers that be at Gloucester Park, who decided about 5 years ago to no longer give the bookie flucs when a bookie was operating at GP. I have no doubt that it greatly affected tote turnover at the Interdom I attended back then, and still does.

As you said Diva, they think that it won't affect them or turnover, but that's because virtually every racing administrator that I have met over 50 years, has had no idea about the effect that telling punters how a horse has firmed in the market has on the amount of additional tote turnover.

Obviously, the people at Sky which is TAB owned do, because good old Marto is always telling people what has firmed "on track", even if today, you can take some of those flucs with a grain of salt.

If it didn't matter, he and the others would be instructed to say nothing.

from what I read on here, RWWA are so far behind the rest of Oz as to their administration  and understanding of racing, that nothing they do surprises me.

    And that's just the point.

    They do nothing.

    Win pool $63k  .... PLACE pool $107K
    Horse 4 Disruptive  Win $10.40  PLACE $1.04
Horse 6 Take the Stand  Win $8.70  PLACE $1.04  ??

No wonder the $1.50 Favourite, Mizlecki (second) paid
the same dividend for the PLACE  !

Did the PLACE sting go wrong  ??

Perhaps the sting went right. Manipulate the tote price and load up through the corporates on Mizlecki to place.

Smokin Joe well and truly earned his % on My Magic Miss. Never travelled, hard ridden from the 1000 and he got her over the line.

The bet on Mizlecki for the win on the tote does nothing to explain the tote place punting?

Old Greg shares some of my thoughts on this meeting:

    1. Gee Boss
    2. Box 3,5,7,8 and EW on Illustrious Tycoon
    3. Big Caroline. She looked in crap nick on the replay but if she's fit I'll back her. She can carry weight and run on.
    4. Fontainebleau. If they're running on, I rate it.
    5. Chinetti.
    6. North Ridge or Dark Musket
    7. Liteninmyveins
    8. Rosmartini

Most of my tips are probably biased by remembering their runs in best form and not current form, so there won't be any big bets unless I'm killing it.
I wonder who dropped nearly 100k on Mizleki? The tri payed nothing so that suggests the form was easy read and a lot of people had IT in the first box. I'm a mug punter, and even I could see from its trials that it was a very good chance.

Lindsay Smith told the story in his quotes as per Grays earlier post in this thread.
"Horses of his class, you always think they will go close." (Correct and he did)
"He is is 90% fit and not that far off" (Correct and he wasn't)
"I don't expect them to win, but I am hoping" (hence I backed SOJ for the place)
Forgetting about the ride, the horses performance was super impressive. The winner is no slouch either. Makes the run even better.

Im impressed. More impressed that you are constantly laying odds on favs and always correct in yor decision. You've put a blackline through Blackline twice now and been correct. Last time i think you layed 4 odds ons and none won.

    Your a gun!

Yes. To a certain degree. But there were a few rides like that yesterday-almost like the hoops' brains hasn't adjusted to Belmont and were getting on their bike too early(an advantage at Ascot). I just think Staeck figured he didn't have the pace to lead but just said '"**** it" I'm gonna sit three wide anyway. Could the horse have won by taking a sit and making one run? Maybe. Maybe not. But he was set an impossible task the way he was ridden.

Thought it was a big run by Navigation Sat,really leads to him being cherry ripe for Derby if thats where he is headed.,and must be at his mercy,as i havnt heard if they are bringing Gatting back after his phenomenal prep.
