Haha no I think there is some sort of reunion on this week. The omen bet in the race has to be Too Lippy.

Haha Alex Epis, went to Mrs Epis's place for lunch at a Kal Round back in the 70's ....standard magnificent ethnic lunch which meant I didn't have to eat for a couple of days...what a magnificent woman....and what a player Alex was...the Bombers would love a couple of hard heads like him right now.

jum, it's been a while, yes, but i must be feeling mean today to put them there!
so much in wa racing has changed since my last update of coefficients, so there is not much point doing it, especially as i would not bet them myself.

it just gives me something to look at today.

although i must be getting some sort of urge again, as i have been trying to resume writing factors for hong kong, but without much luck yet.

Is there a "Moreira" factor (m) in your equations @carey

An equation that usually works is

    m/H = W

where m is the Moreira factor, H is the Horse coefficient and W is the Win variable

So when you have Moreira on Horse you get Win

bomber, interestingly i was looking at the riders in one way yesterday.
and where nearly every rider had their highest probability of winning when their horse was in front at the 800 metre mark, declining as their position at the 800 metre mark was further back.
moriera's was basically the same(and higher than everyone else's)  wherever he positioned his mount.
not sure how that would translate to dollars won yet, as he rides a lot of favourites.
in other words, he is just as likely to win from the rear as he is from the front
it's a statistic i have never seen the like of before.

Not often you get beaten by 1/100 sec and miss the place!
