Just had a look at the fields, best bunch of races for a long time, actually a bit of racing to get excited about. Unfortunately i'm moving house so wont get time to knuckle down and do the form but looking forward to getting out there and seeing a bit of competitive racing with full relatively even fields.

All the best with the move. Quite excited to move homes. Is it next to Gloucester Park?

It nearly was! Closer to the old Richmond raceway.

I'll pop over one day Gil. We can hit the cans and then have a match race around Richmond Circus.

Thought Hall Jnr would lead up the 3 wide train but opted to stay in. Horse should be strong in the breeze at that price.

Kiwi Legend, gee, that is some good sectionals.

That was bloody fantastic!!!! So good to see a race were they aftually race!

Boaz looks in big trouble, near front I reckon. Hope all is ok but I suspect we wont see him in the derby.

John Of Arc did go roughly on the home turn but that isn't the reason it got beaten. Fancy letting the breeze go at the bell.....throwing the very, very, very best light you can on the drive, that was a disgrace.

That wasn't nice to watch Erskine

Sadly, Boaz looked like he broke down leaving the back straight.....was eventually eased out of it but how impressive Kiwi Legend ....I think he would have won anyway and his last mile in under 1.54. Little All Aussie Boy had his tongue hanging out the last lap just keeping up but kept going .....with half of Manji yelling and screaming in the Pub TAB. Real chance in the Country Derby.

WTF Was jnr doing on the court jester? Let's see if the koala gets questioned by the stewards. Given the fact that he is the protected gloucester park species, I doubt it!! Something needs to be done about the way the halls just do as they please at gp. They are slowly killing the game.

Massive run, Browny must have done something to piss the Halls off!

Remember thinking a while ago how I would never back one Clint was on only jnr but it's the other way around at the moment, jnr is well off his game. Keen on American Muscle later but no confidence the driver.

    @Lincolnism

    That's goood news.

Was bloody nice being on Smokey there.
    How's the mail going?
  • OffthebitOffthebit    617 posts
It's pretty obvious jnr cracked the shits when chopper smashed him on beaudine boaz. Then chopper leads with mon lamour. There was no way he was going to let chopper lead all the way with it, and have him lead all the way in the two big races of the night. Jnr thinks he owns gp and doesn't take kindly to losing.

Well I've been absolutely shafted this meet. Another gear issue to ruin another hopeful.

So you put smokey the bandit on top? Then you said you spoke to jnr? Did you thank him for and Clint for their dives in that race?
Put Smokey and Vinnie on top, John Of Arc, Menaleus and Outmuscled all on top ran holes. Threw Ti Amo in the numbers.
    so something to work with.....

Pleased to see that Kiwi Legend backed up what I wrote a couple of weeks back that the derby is no longer  a foregone conclusion or words to that effect, what a price!!!
Think he had Boaz done to a dinner at the time, hope there's nothing wrong though with Boaz, Kiwi should only continue to improve though, he's rapidly developing into one of my all time favourite horses only had three starts and I've unloaded on it every time. Before anyone starts jumping down and saying how would you know about it in NZ prior to it racing, one of my best mates (who used to live here)owned a quarter share of the horse previously so I've known how good it was long before it made its debut.

Funny horse, really doesn't put in sometimes.

I backed him EW a couple of months back at Pinj, when he head I was laughing, 500m he was gone and going to drop out and run last then 15om out he grabbed the bit again and charged into 3rd.
