Have they taken the soft option with Vizard???

With Roman Time in the field as well as Jestatune, he wouldn't be on his lonesome...

I know there aren't a lot of quality WFA sprint races in WA, this could have been his chance to pinch one before next season...

Still think MARASCO is the one to beat though...

Too much money on offer in far easier company.... very smart move on behalf of connections by the trainer

i dont think its the soft option i think it was the smart option all reports are marasco is flying and marasco at his best would pick vizard up and carry him over the line throw the prez in there and really what hope did he have

Agree, prizemoney for second is less than a win in his other race. The odds of him running second isn't good either with our best up against each other.

yes i agree,no soft option...has him earmarked for an open sprint on the minimum the week after the belmont sprint...should he win sat he gets another 32.5 k ,that would be more than what he would earn against the states best in the roma cup and too much of a test at WFA dont forget?..to run against el and marasco daly would want the 53 kilos and significant weight pull like was evident 10 days ago for the majority...

Not saying I dont agree, but what if he doesn't win the softer race... They dont find out anything about the horse...

If he can't win the softer race the decision not to run in the Roma is justified IMHO.

exactly torp....dont think the connections will have to worry about a minor prize cheque tho a slight query still on the track condition..anyone know how he might fair on a dead surface given a fair chance we may get one or worse? EDIT : forget that illinformed ? 2/2 on dead ground

Not to mention if he ran a blinder in the Roma, but didn't win, then he'd surely be scarred in the ratings and unable to contest anything lesser in the future

that too...very well placed by daly....2 or 3 more runs, spell then take on the big boys over the summer?? although stated as being a 3 year old in the article i read  he is only four and had a mere 12 starts.

It wouldnt matter if he did run in Roma Cup because he wouldnt have finished in the first 4 -IMO

I'd say brilliant programming by George Daly. The horse has now won six in a row and not carried more than 57.5 kg. All that AND he has managed to dodge the sea breeze which seems to have a habit of dogging all his other runners!

Has a super future, no need to throw him in the deep end yet.
