    not sure about throwing in the towel, but he does just grind away. Becoming a costly conveyance on the punt for sure. He deserves one, he has problems and he has a ton of courage.

    Look I know Mississipian finished along the inside to win the second race, but the swoopers are going super there today. I wouldn't want to be on the rails(particularly on the pace) for the rest of the card.

    Some real short priced favs getting rolled there today Flying Reputation, $2.50-$1.95 & Miss Chloetamash $1.85 were just woeful. But the rides were fairly ordinary as well.

    A patient wait until the last for me....Relent... and one at odds is Roc'n'Doc. Not much has gone right for it recently and will be a huge improver.

    Pike should have pulled out instead of letting it pull it's head off. Too cute. The quaddie is a consolation

    I'm surprised he fired it out of the gates-no wonder it pulled its head off. Looked very green in its maiden win. I have no issue with Pike's actions in the home straight though. He took the run when the gap opened but his horse was just not quick enough to go through it without getting squeezed. It's probably looking for further anyway, I just thought it was used up early and it probably dulled its sprint. The winner had the cold sit and was able to swoop late.

    Relent got beaten up not long after coming onto the straight...thought the pilot was coming off at one stage. Don't know if it was its bad racing manner or if he got nailed by one or two coming through

    I concur she still pretty green, impressive run under the circumstances though. Thought it was the best bet of the day. reckon she still might be one to follow.
