Got to ask the question .. Kalgoolie is the same as it ever was so why do people keep complaining. No ones holding a gun to your head you don't have to bet on every race.. .. Yesterday was a special meeting because mailman graced us with his presence on this thread... Anyway I'm off to sleep for a year

Perhaps you are right but what future is there for the club if no one bets on the races? It's a waste of time even watching them because the form is so erratic.

    Total win pool 21/07/13 $493k
    Total win pool 20/07/14 $412k

    16% drop in turnover

TRK the club has a future, like all the clubs that don`t perform.

RWWA distribution is based on a handful of individual`s opinions.

Actual turnover has nothing to do with returns to the club or stakemoney distribution.

They get funded on the same level as Pinjarra which is a joke and much more than Albany.
Protected species, racing is ordinary but treated like royalty

Back to a more normal run from Ningaloo Blitz. I'd like to know what motivated it to run like a scalded cat last start.  :-?

The only thing that comes to mind is race fitness Rodent. It would have been the 2nd start over a staying distance for some of her rivals and they raced accordingly ;)
Opposition is one thing but you Can't ignore the time from her last start broke the track record by 2 seconds and the sectional where very good, she really struggled on the track yesterday it was very chopped up she couldn't get her head up and get out of the ground

I wouldn't mind wagering that the race was run over a lot less than 2100m. How can you possibly explain a track record that has stood for 29 years being bettered by a 52 rater in Hexexpress, who was beaten 14 lengths? It's absolute nonsense.

Carey checked it out and reckons it was all ok...??? I also find it hard to believe but can't find anything wrong with the distance or time...
