dungy mate, the speed in these races is deplorable, something has to be done.

harvey was a victim of it..

we should be the first state to employ a pace-maker as this happens week after week after week.

certainly looked pedestrian as far as pace goes.
how then did the winner go via the cape, and run past them as if they were glued to the fence?
as weird a race as you could see.
can't believe winner had any hope from where it was in the run.

What an absolute bloody joke that race was. It was as though it was a 3 mile hurdle race in England leaving the straight the first time - if it had been a hurdle none of them would have had enough pace up to jump a fence. I thought Jason Brown was supposed to be one of our top jockeys. No wonder they are riding in Perth because the would all bloody well starve to death in the east. The stewards report will make interesting reading. Then again maybe they saw nothing wrong with the race. Ha ha ha.

I had the sort of feeling that it was always going to be Shinning Knightish in that it is a quality animal, great money spinner but just finds it so bloody hard to win.

For all the negative comments last week about the MM 2YO race, compared to yet again another small field going around today, it was easily the best race of the season to date.

So if there pulling double and walking go to the front and then all of a sudden you become the hardest to beat it aint rocket science

Good to see a jock on a back marker leaving nothing to chance.

Only bet thus far Grey Cheval, of course at rears at the open. Still scarred by a horse called Romario rearing in the late 90s and being declared a runner, seem to find one every so often

chelsea, nev always seems to get a free ticket to the big ones over east with horses that have little or no chance.

Obviously an axe to grind or NFI. We all know the latter is the case with mr falcon. Horse has won a million dollars FFS. What races do you propose a 100 rater enters this time of year? Didnt he just run 2nd in a Perth Cup and run solid races in the G1s. If that is out of form, how good woild he go in form?

If you cant take a 100 rater with $1.1M in the bank, who can you take? Horse was meant to be going for Mornington Cup but had a setback.

why not just let him down for the breeding barn...the horse has nothing to prove..he has been a marvel.

but to pitch him against those top wfa horses is just ludicrous...imvho.

Oh what could have been if Mireille had held on if not for a pearler from pike. Still a good day out, but lately that massive collect is just out of reach...onward to Pinny
