    Just been told that Belmont copped a lot of rain overnight and it is still raining. You would have to think that Wednesday's meeting is doubtful at best.

    it's horrendous for owners..I cant imagine how i would feel if i had a city class horse that was at the top of it's game at the moment..2 missed opportunittes to put 30-40k or more in the bank.

    well looks like Sky Channel has approved it as Northam is now appearing on the calendar for Thursday, and it shows 9 races now for Belmont on Wednesday (1st at 1215)

    i'm so glad we have to get an organisation run like sky is to give us the tick of approval. We were the only metro meeting being run in Australia yesterday and yet even if we had raced we still weren't on Sky world until Races 5-8 !!!
    We're continually treated with utter contempt, yet we signed a long term contract again with these clowns, I seriously doubt that they even approached TVN to at the very least put a little bit of pressure on Sky.

      Imagine blaming the jocks for calling the meeting off.
      The jocks only pointed out again that the track is unsafe in their opinion
      They are ducking for cover.
      There will be fingers pointed and it will all come down to the lowest paid staff member to wear the blame.
      Totally unprofessional.

    has anyone tried to work out the reasoning for the additional race on Wednesday only being worth 20k..It is a restricted 60-72, where as on the same card there will be 1 metro win or less race for 40k??? Or should i just shut up and not worry about it as every shower that floats over reduces the chance of there being any racing anyway??

    Think we have had 4mm today, so no chance of racing based on what happened Saturday morning!!

    that 1000m is one of the Wednesday races they didnt shift to Northam.
