Big Maschino just not up to it this prep. Well done to the Bites the Dust followers!

I had a saver on Bites The Dust happy I did.. But backed Maschino. Would have been nice to know they were changing the way the horse was being riden. Maschino is a sit and sprint horse in a small field you would think it should be hard to beat.
I think the betting public should have been made aware of the change in tactics.

Great story Para...............Nice bit of coin for the weekend. Wasn't too bad a day for me either. Falcon gave me a little tip, which got me out of trouble.

So it's always a case of what goes around comes around..just hope i can keep the form going for the Puntathon this weekend 8)

Yep, however the interview with Graham yuill in the morning indicated he would be ridden that way. Once again the availability of the racing radio interviews would be a good tool for the punters as can't always listen in the mornings

Luckily The South Western Times does a better job than the west, was a write up from Julio Santarelli yesterday in regards to the days meeting including part of an interview with Graham Yuill talking about a change of tactics and his opinion to why......WE even got a half page write up with large picture of Like An Eagle after he broke both legs, don't think i saw a thing in city paper!

It's a good point you raise there Carey and its got me thinking.

Who are some of the race horses you can think of who have been to many different trainers over their careers :?:

The first one that comes to my mind is West River Charley

The following is a list of trainers who have had him over his career to date of 43 starts.

    Bernadine Dudley
    Duane Kitchingman
    Rebecca Nairn
    Sharon Miller
    Jodie Noske
    Monica Tyson
    Sharon Taylor
    Paige Kenney
Monica Tyson (for a 2nd time)

That to me means an average of just over 5 starts per trainer for him.

Can anyone else  of some other horses who have had a long(ish) list of trainers like WRC?
  • careycarey    6,424 posts
i have only 6 distinct trainers for that horse, but i only have data back to oct 2008.

anyway i just made a list of trainer count(distinct) for each horse in my data.
the most for me is 7.
list below is for 5 or more distinct trainers.

    LATE NIGHT FLIGHT 7
    MONSOON MADNESS 7
    STOLEN 7
    CARIBBEAN CRUISE 6
    CLASSY TIME 6
    DIVINE DANCER 6
    LAP OF HONOR 6
    RICH KEN 6
    WEST RIVER CHARLEY 6
    ZOOM STAR 6
    ALL THE GOLD 5
    ARONDIGHT 5
    BE SMART 5
    CAPITAL ACCOUNT 5
    CATCORP 5
    DUGITE 5
    ESROH 5
    EVIL LAD 5
    FLASHY DOLL 5
    FLIGHT CAPTAIN 5
    GOLD COMMODITY 5
    HALLOWELL FEVER 5
    HARKAM ISA 5
    ISINPURSUIT 5
    IT'LL BE SWEET 5
    JIMMY'S TOIL 5
    JUNIOR SOPRANO 5
    KALAHAHNI 5
    MAKLAN ROSE 5
    MISSY LARA 5
    MONBY 5
    MR BACHELOR 5
    MR D'ALTON 5
    OFFER ME JEWELS 5
