See I thought only the smaller (hobby) trainers did the 50/50 deal - so is it rare for trainers to do a monthly fee?

Or do they only do that with slow dogs?

Another win to the superstar!

However, I'd say potentially one of her best races to date (not considering the good prizemoney, but her actual run) - loads of determination shown!

A very interesting race on Saturday night.
This is the first time Miata comes up against a top dog in SHIMAGUNI
If Miata misses the start like she has done in her last few starts, then she won't beat Shimaguni. She won't be able to give this dog a big start like she has done to weaker dogs.
    A very interesting race.

If Miata gets up tonight i'll have my money on her to win every major race in oz.. Any ideas on the rough price of the two come jump time? Surely Miata will be close to evens, $1.70 maybe? $2.50 Shimaguni..

Cant wait really good all round card tonight, apart from the last 2 races tho
  • LuckyLongshotsLuckyLongshots    4,270 posts
Very impressive and strong to the line.

Shimaguni would need a much better jump to beat her.

Galaxy heats this Saturday for the superstar! Seriously - four heats of the Galaxy (a Group 1) and there are 5 empty boxes - just gotta find a stayer for a reasonable price and you're set!

8 heats for the Perth Cup and not 1 empty box!

    RACE 7 Galaxy (2) 9:02PM
    $14415 Heat (C) 715m
    1 1 2 4 Uno Lesson (G4) ........................... B. MacLean 42.86 42.86
    2 5 1 3 Kalden Petroni (G2) (SA) .................. T. Murray NBT NTT
    3 Vacant box
    4 5 6 6 Menindi (G4) .......................................D. Rowe 42.58 43.00
    5 1 1 1 Miata (G3) .......................................... P. Stuart 41.30 41.59
    6 Vacant box
    7 2 3 1 Pakenham Lass (G4) ...................... K. Harding 41.87 42.41
    8 6 7 2T Devine Nation (G3) (NSW) ................ P. Parrelli FSH NTT

Can't head out this Saturday (off to see a Wall), but will be there for the big night in a fortnight's time!

Dont like the dishies but watched this bloke win tonight gee he is very good and the caller got a bit caught up with it all didnt he thought he owned the dog the way he was belting on

The most unbiased racecall I've ever heard :D :D

What about the post cup interview with the winner of the Cup? He would've got more sense interviewing the dog itself. :)

She was ultra impressive last night and is now off to the eastern states to show what she can do!

Have you ever heard a Black Caviar race, pretty sure the other horses barely get a look in - it's all part of the excitement!

Great crowd on track last night of around 5,000 - for a good night of racing!
  • thought the call was great, she has some track sense, you would swear she had a jockey on her

you are losing the plot, there was nothing wrong with that call, it was in fact a class call

The Galaxy call reflected the excitement MIATA generated on-course.

Any criticism of Peter O'Neill's call is unwarranted in my opinion.

didnt think the call was over the top at all.

the occasion called for a bit of excitement.

    horrible call

I think the call was slightly over the top but completely warranted... Not since the Late Pedrosa dominated cannington has a greyhound generated so much interest in W.A.

Arguably her toughest race to date and disposed of them with ease..
Bring on the cups over east. We'll see how good she is and might finally get a decent price about her.
  • Dungy u r allover the place, just remind me, how is the Next W Pike going at the minute, you know the one u labelled the next W Pike
