The ratings points are gonna be horrible though

Went in a 67 mare and will come out.........around 95
    Straight to Open Class!

But that's the game, atleast she's now proven her class! Ol' Danny knows how to steal them!

So basically when they consider her new rating, she'll be rated as if she were a 91 rated horse?

Wow........... wish I could have been on course

Congratulations to the family, Vaughn & Danny

The rating is not that important as she is going on a break now and will come back for a Cups campaign

I'm very glad that the recent offers to purchase her were declined, we have always thought that with the right mid race move she was capable of running times that most stayters in Perth would struggle to match.

Damian Lane almost pulled it off last week but Danny's ride was an absolute copybook of the discussions we had earlier this week after Vaughn secured him for the ride.

Thank you to everyone who has passed on best wishes, I am sure that I will talk to Alan & Birget shortly and pass them all on.
  • Should have a crack at the Bunbury Cup after that win

I'm sure it will be or has been discussed at the bar following the win, but as late as yesterday the plan was she would be having a break as she has been up for an awful long time. In fact she has been up since 22/7 last year after 3 trials, so that is 19 races this preparation!!!! With 7 of those races coming in the last 7 weeks.

Even with the new rating, she will get in well for the CB Cox & Perth Cup later this year, so perhaps longterm considerations will outweigh going to Bunbury. Ultimately Vaughn and Alan will make that decison, and right now they are making the right ones, so wait and see.

Almohad will continue onto the Bunbury Cup according to my friend who part owns him. Then a short break before a Melbourne campaign is considered in the Spring.

Great result for connections of the bonny grey mare but on the otherhand
SOAPBOX Luciani made a silly statement saying that Almahoud would have won the Perth Cup what a bold statement now seeing he couldnt pick up SA with 53kg on its back in the Pinj Cup he would not have seen which way Lords Ransom would have gone he would not have run top 5 in the Perth Cup as he fell in last start and had every chance yesterday i wouldnt bother heading east or maybe Kal thats about as far east as he should go .

The horse has been in work for a long time and looks to be showing it. I think he has many wins left in him.

  • just watched the Chok Dee race, there were 3 good things beat in the race.

Strudel, all the lass had to do is put the stick through to the left hand and it just wins, obviously doesn't know how to do this, and she is not a apprentice anymore, u would expect more

Hang em High, she only had to breathe on it and it wins, ok maybe not breathe but at least push it out

top 2 are females so if u backed them u get your right whack

    Galoubay...he simply just got lost

I hate this stupid idea of not showing replays on PR.com until over 24 hours after the meeting. To pay a premium for this service and get this level of treatment is absurd.

They may have an agreement with Sky Channel over broadcasting, but it also is bloody frustrating.

I didn't see the race yesterday, only heard it driving my car.

Looked like training error to me, horse settled fine when barely at a gallop in the AHA, yesterday he had to fight him for first 1000m at least on a seemingly quicker tempo. Horse too fresh maybe?

Thought his run was great considering. They simply can't pull and be expected to finish off over 2300.
