Ascot 9/3/19 Preview by TMP
West Australian Racing
I like this program. It is v v complicated; good to neededly stimulate my simple mind.
R/1 Like my Bro, I am wary of Mikimoto, despite my good win on her last time; WP did seem to steal the race (I still do not know how).
1800m is a v different kettle of fish. Another reason I ama wary of Bellas (including the 7 day back up that I generally do not like)
So great minds think alike (sorry if that is an insult to other parties) and I am going for Media Baron. He is by Written Tycoon, but some of them go the distance.
I have to put in Decoy Noxious and Rose's Shadow, both staying types.
R/2 I worry about yhe price on Fairview, 11's seems too long; does somebody know something; but he is still in.
I like Double Bubble particularly since the amazing trial; maybe he has improved bigtime. I will not hear a bad word re the rider; I have been converted over the last year or more by his great judgement and hands and heels over the last bit to have the best out of his mounts.
Of course the unpronouncable Samazdat will prove me wrong!
R/3 Yep; I'm the same here with my fave Carocapo on top. There is no Snug horse to take him on and the horse, trainer, rider combo is just great.
I missed out on Hoboken last time but after such a stron win I have to put him in.
R/4 I am confused here as the thorses around the fave's trials have not done so good.
P and P has really good race form but I'm right off fish and Italian food at present.
If I'm near a betting establishment I will be on the topweight; first run great; then 2nd run he did not look as good, led them up and ran 2nd.; always respect this stable.
R/5 Midnight Sky stands out after the last run; a little extra distance suits really well.
Only other one here for me is the topweight; if can stroll in front and then kick in the straight would be v hard to beat.
R/6 Horses 2 and 5 here for me. Abdicator is lightly placed and look at the prizemoney! The trainer is a wizard and look at the rider.
I have to put in Debellatio; if he finds the fence before the turn into the straight, he will be hard to run down.
R/7 Every horse has a chance here; even the longshots like I'm a Love Man and Saxon Saxoff.
I guess Upwards Others deserves the win here; but he just doesn't look to me like the strong bull stayer.
R/8 I like Plutocracy's trial win; so he is in
If Chin Strap had his helmet on properly, he would be hard to beat.
I will have to put Comparitive in as I believe the 1200m suits him better with a sit.
It is v even with Halusa running a good trial lately!
Well there you are; another week and it is tough. I have taken all ups with multiple horses mentioned and lets se if we can hit the jackpot.
Good Luck!
