Absolutely Classic!!

Makes you wonder about the quality of their middle distance horses and only six in a G3 race! And we think we have issues.
-
Gulbertis are bringing up a good team with some new ES horses amongst them.
-
Actually, at pinjarra the steak sandwich and BLT are very good, pity you can't get them at Ascot.
-
Owners card definately, cheaper drinks, better food, yes, shorter time between races yes. This last is trickier and i can hear howls of complaint but they do it successfully elsewhere, R.Freedman suggested it on Racing Retro.

SAm Hayes on Bred to win last night said SR would be around the $6600

Hussonet is 25k plus gst, Shrewd Rhythm wont be much different to what he was here

I rate Steve higher than Brad and Paddy and Steve would be up there equal with ODonnell but you said Pick five! If i was looking the five who have ridden winners for me P Harvey,ODonnell, Yuill wouldn't be on the list. It would be Pike, Carberry,Whi…

Just watched a replay of the race, my god the Brits love their blood sports! Two dead horses that I saw half the field falls at various jumps and a crowd that puts any soccer crowd to shame. I am mystified!
-
Your'e probably right, Ron bred one of his mares to him in 2oo7 and Swettenham bred two to him in2oo1. Ron stands Soldiers Tale with them.If it is him then Eddie was a bit off the mark saying 20k for a service fee, he stands this year for 12.5 k wit…

I agree Majorly bizarre . The majority of supposed sales to Magic Millions as agent???

Only if you are going to sell at the sales. I prefer to sell shares in my horses privately so I can keep a leg or two. So, Blacfriars, Saxon, Kendel Star, based purely on the race results of the progeny and then I will see which mare suits which sta…

very hard to make a wage on $1500/ month training fee, even with numbers to help. Some trainers do have varying rates for good owners or ones who have been loyal. New trainers can do deals if its a horse they think can get their name up in lights. …

The grass is kept much longer than it has been at Ascot and about time too! The longer grass adds a bit of cushion for the poor horses legs as does extra watering. Times have been a bit slower for a while, since they let the grass grow a bit. All t…

I don't know anything about website development, to me its like electricity ,I just use it, so i can't tell the diff between the two. I like them both, they give recognition to their security staff!

This also a good site, been up for a while, young Ascot trainer. www.winnattheraces.com/ .

Anyone who has worked with stud stallions will know that once a stallion has been in one place a long time and made it "his" the stallion suffers enormously when sent elsewhere, I have seen a stallion go into a decline and die because of it. So it m…

Sounds good to me. The govt could swap the land at Cockburn plus cash, and we could have a dedicated selling complex too.
-
I've got two yearlings by him, colt and a filly, both on the difficult side to handle. Some breakers have said the same, naturally not all are tricky, but I want to see a lot of winners and runners before I go back there.
-
Bad pony NT!! very nice tho!
-
Only been to Esperances races once when we there on holiday. It is a lovely track, facilities comparable to Mt Barker (It was a few years ago). I just thought it was dam sdhame it was so far away I would like to have my horses race there.
-
Hard to give a stallion too much credit when it consistently improves on the mares it recieves. Really tho' his stats say it all. From Stallion book 2007 (under Stormys Son sadly) winners to runners 73.3%, 21 stakes winners in a career cut way too s…

Old Spice threw two types, really good and really awful. He was not a good sire of bread and butter horses, which is why I never used him when I had the chance. They were very tough horses hard to live with the softest part of them was their teeth! …
-
I bred two mares to Danasinga, he is good value and has a lovely nature. Generally stallions keep on going as they have been with their progenys performance so a change of state shouldn,nt make much difference to his stats.

Speed Speed Speed!

A bit daft comparing the wizard to any W.A. jockey especially a country one! Give the poor bloke a go.

Ihtirams can be really hard to handle and in racework they can be nervy ,picky eaters, develop all th known stable vices, a trainers dream really! I have had a few on agistment, very hard to get weight on, fence walkers, windsuckers etc etc. He also…
